The Philosophy
Triple Malt. Triple Wood.
Uncompromising French Craft.
In the heart of Cognac, France, the House of Giraud applies centuries of distillation mastery to create whiskies of extraordinary depth — blending three different malts and finishing in three distinct casks for a complexity that defies convention.
Alfred Giraud is not just a whisky — it is the culmination of generations of French distillation expertise, reimagined for the world's most discerning palates.
Founded in the Cognac region of France — the spiritual home of fine spirits — the House of Giraud marries traditional French savoir-faire with an audacious vision. Where most whiskies rely on a single malt and single wood finish, Alfred Giraud's "Triple Malt, Triple Wood" philosophy creates layers of flavour that evolve with every sip.
Each expression is a masterwork of blending: three distinct malt whiskies, each matured separately in its own cask type before being harmoniously married and finished in a third wood. The result is a symphony of aromas and textures — from the subtle honeyed warmth of Heritage to the profound depth of Une Odyssee.
Today, Alfred Giraud is recognised as one of France's most prestigious whisky houses — its limited-release expressions sought by collectors and connoisseurs across Europe, Asia and beyond.
The Method
Triple Malt, Triple Wood
3 malts + 3 woods
Complexity through blending.
French Terroir
Sourced from the finest French grain and malted in the Cognac region, where the unique climate and water contribute to the whisky's distinctive character. The House of Giraud uses only French oak for its cask finishing.
Triple Wood Mastery
Each expression is crafted using three distinct cask types — ex-bourbon, French oak and a third signature cask chosen specifically for each release. This triple finishing creates unparalleled aromatic complexity and a silky, lingering finish.
Limited Releases
Every Alfred Giraud expression is produced in strictly limited quantities — from 23 casks for Heritage to as few as 2 casks for limited editions. Once a vintage is gone, it is gone forever. Each bottle is individually numbered.
